Sky Hero Productions is looking for local bands to perform as opening acts in our upcoming concerts.
To enter this competition you must do the following:
FIRST: Read the rules (Click Here)
SECOND: Submit the Name of the Band (in the subject line of an email), a contact name and telephone number in the body of the emali, a link to your myspace or website and ONE MP3 (as an attachment) of your band's original material by email to:
talent@skyheroproductions.com
THIRD: If you are chosen as one of the top 16 bands, you will be scheduled to play one 45 minute set at a local club. This competition will be held on four consecutive nights, with 4 bands playing per night. At this point in the competition, each person that buys a ticket to that night's show is given a ballot with the names of the 4 bands performing that night. The band with the most votes for that given night moves on to the semi finals which will be held on Friday and Saturday Night. The reasoning behind this is two-fold: First, to see how the band does under pressure with a crowd and secondly, to see how popular you are on a local level. Make no mistake, this is a popularity contest as well as a talent contest. the more fans you bring to your show, the more votes you potentially get.
FOURTH: Semi Finals will feature only 2 bands on Friday and 2 bands on Saturday. The winner from Friday night and the winner from Saturday night will have an opening spot in one of our concerts.
